5-Day Entry Level Solar PV Installation and Design Course

This class covers  fundamental knowledge and reviews the design, installation, and evaluation of residential and commercial  solar photovoltaic (PV) systems.  The solar training includes site evaluation tools and techniques, solar electric component operation and connection, system design and sizing, and standard requirements and practices.

2-Day LEED Workshop

Infinite Solar, Inc. is now offering a 2-Day LEED workshop. This workshop is an introduction to LEED ( Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design), providing a basic understanding of who the main entities are that set the rules and the reference guides for green Design, such as the USGBC (US Green Building Council) and Energy Star.

In the workshop you will learn the 8 categories established by the USGBC to rate buildings and grant certification. The instructor will address each of the 8 categories established in the existing rating system for homes and students will apply that knowledge on a given building in hands-on exercises.

The LEED workshop will serve as a broad overview from the introduction of the LEED concepts to financial issues involved in using a technology that is still very new and very costly for clients. A review of the process in order to register a building for LEED certification will be discussed.

(Note that this workshop is not a preparatory workshop for the LEED AP exam.)
