This course provides preparation for the NABCEP PV Installer Certification Exam. Course content will focus on the NABCEP Task Analysis and in-depth review of NABCEP suggested resource list. Special emphasis will be given to design calculations.

Course topics include:
• Customer needs including load analysis
• Site analysis
• Structural analysis
• Safety and OSHA regulations
• NEC Code
• System design: grid tied, grid tie with battery backup, and off-grid
• System electrical design
• System mechanical design
• System inspection, activation and performance verification
• Maintenance and troubleshooting

*PREREQUISITE: This advanced level course assumes that students arrive with full comprehension of solar fundamentals. Completion of a 40 hr., Solar Electric Systems course leading to the NABCEP Certificate of Knowledge (Our 5-Day Solar PV Design and Installation Course satisfies this requirement)
