Meet our Instructors

Sean WhiteSean White
Dr. Sean White, a NABCEP certified installer, works full-time as a Solar Project Estimator/Designer at a large established roofing company in Oakland, California. He is extremely knowledgeable in photovoltaics (PV). Dr. White taught PV at a college in Oakland in 2008, where he administered the North American Board of Certified Energy Practitioners entry level PV certificate of knowledge examination. Currently Sean is an Adjunct Professor at college in Pleasant Hill, CA where he teaches an Advanced PV class as well as a C-46 Solar Contractors License Exam Preparation course.

Infinite Solar, the first solar school in Pennsylvania, hired Dr. White as their premier Solar PV Instructor in 2009. Infinite Solar boasts the only indoor grid tied PV system on the East Coast, which backfeeds the grid with 30kW of lights, even when it is snowing! Dr. White is highly knowledgeable in the solar PV industry and the evaluations from the Infinite Solar students prove that his knowledge and passion for solar shine throughout the 5-day workshop.

Anco BlazevAnco Blazev
Mr. Blazev is a Chemical Engineer with over 30 years experience in the field of solar energy and related industries. As a Process Engineer and Engineering Manager he has managed the design, production, installation, operation and maintenance of PV and HCPV equipment and systems—both in the US and internationally—including training of technicians, engineers installers, contractors and customers.

Mr. Blazev has been instrumental in the success of the overall sales efforts by providing technical support, hands-on training and professional guidance to sales personnel during and after the sales transactions. He also has extensive experience working with US Government agencies on all levels of their involvement in solar energy generation.

David SawchakDavid Sawchak
Mr. Sawchak has actively worked in the solar thermal industry for 35 years, installing his first solar thermal system in 1975, a solar water/space heating system comprised of 1750 square feet of solar collectors. Since that time he has installed over 3500 systems. Mr. Sawchak has lectured at colleges and universities both nationally and internationally and consults with solar businesses in all aspects of sales, marketing, design, and installation of solar thermal systems. He has contracted with major solar thermal manufacturer’s to develop and conduct their dealer training programs as well as their onsite training.

Mr. Sawchak is CEO of Morningstar Enterprises, Inc., a design, engineering, and project supervision company. He is NABCEP certified and an approved solar thermal instructor.

Bill HennessyBill Hennessy
Mr. Bill Hennessy has been involved in the design, building and implementation of renewable and sustainable projects since the 1970s. Mr. Hennessy, a longtime proponent of renewable energy education and a NABCEP certified installer, is very active in the solar community. His involvement with the Mid-Atlantic Renewable Energy Association (MAREA), both as Executive Director and President, has helped him to develop and teach workshops that emphasize hands-on training that promote practical solar skills. Throughout his time with MAREA he has worked on several solar initiatives including PV projects at Muhlenberg College, Lafayette University, and Penn State Hazelton. More recently, Mr. Hennessy is teaching an “Introduction to Photovoltaics for Homeowners” with Dr. Vera Cole at a Reading Area Community College . He is an approved photovoltaic installer for the Pennsylvania Sunshine Grant rebate program and a partner in Berks Solar, LLC, an electrical contracting company that specializes in photovoltaic installations.
